Plascon Micatex
All you need to know about Plascon Micatex
When it comes to painting exterior walls, Plascon Micatex is the number one paint to use. This paint is a water based PVA heavily reinforced with additives to make it a superlative weatherproof covering for your exterior walls. The paint is thick and flexible and it effectively fills small cracks and minor imperfections in plaster so that they are no longer visible. Plascon Micatex is reinforced with meticulously graded aggregates of mica (hence the name) as well as mineral quartz and marble. These give it a resilience and hardiness that gives your exterior surface long-term protection.
Plascon Micatex protects all your exterior surfaces against breakdown that is usually caused by harsh weather conditions. It is Ultra Violet resistant and can put up with even the most harsh sunlight. You can use it on all types of exterior surface, including breezeblocks, bricks, concrete, cement plaster, fibre-cement, PVC gutters and downpipes. Plascon Micatex prevents dampness on interior walls that is caused by driving rain and leaves a fine texture that hides small irregularities and even disguises places that have been repaired. If it is applied in the recommended way, the finished dry film of paint is more than twice the thickness than that of other conventional paints. It resists cracking that you sometimes get with other paints, and the colours both eradicate the colour of any substrate and keep their colour without fading. The paint is available in a wide range of colours and tints and comes in 5 litre and 25 litre packs. Count on 5m² for each litre.
